VA Association of Fairs Scholarship


Virginia Association of Fairs Youth Leadership Awards Competition 2018

Scholarship opportunity is open to 4-H members, ages 14-19, 
who have been an active participant in the Orange Fair.  

The entries are due by December 1, 2017.

Competition will be held at the VAF Convention 
at the Homestead on January 6, 2018.

Virginia Hereford Association Scholarship Opportunity


Virginia Hereford Association Scholarship Program

The Virginia Hereford Association Heifer Scholarship Program is a mentoring and development program for youth who are interested in becoming involved in the farming industry.  Their goal is to make it possible for a younger generation of future Hereford breeders to learn through the management of a Registered Hereford female.

The program will provide a Registered Hereford Heifer to the scholarship recipient.  At that time the junior will maintain ownership and possession of the heifer.

Deadline for applications is October 31, 2017 and the recipient will be announced at the VHA Annual Meeting on November 10.

Harry T. Peters, Jr. Award: to recognize an outstanding senior 4-H'er (ages 14 to 19) who works hard, sets goals and achieves them; among other traits. Click here to go directly to award application.


Orange County 4-H Scholarship Application: eligible applicants must have graduated high school in 2017. This $500 award will be used to aid the recipient with the cost of higher education. Click here to learn more.
