Let the Extension Office Know if You Need YMQA Training for the State Fair

All youth planning to show livestock (beef, sheep, hogs, meat goats) at the State Fair are required to complete Youth Meat Quality Assurance (YMQA) certification annually. This must be done by the August entry deadline.

Thus far, it appears that all of our youth planning to show at the State Fair have obtained their certification. If you still need YMQA training, it is your responsibility to notify us so we can either schedule a training if there are enough folks interested or direct you to another county's training event.

Most Orange youth either got their BQA certification through cattle working and they're only planning to show beef at the State Fair, or our youth attended the Skyline Stockman's contest and received certification that afternoon.
